Heather C.

Animal husbandry has been a part of Heather’s life since early childhood. Growing up her family raised show quality standard poodles and she fed the piranhas at a local pet store. She trained her first obedience dog at the age of 13 and from there, her interest in animal welfare led her on a journey across half the United States.

Heather’s veterinary experience began when she became Nationally Registered and a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Nevada. There she worked in emergency and critical care, animal dentistry, and avian/exotic veterinary care. During this time, Heather had the opportunity to provide technician exams for Wayne Newton's Exotic Menagerie working with cranes, peacocks, penguins, wallabies, geese, and ducks.

Heather also has provided professional obedience instruction and was an AKC evaluator for the Canine Good Citizen Certification. Heather’s training abilities allowed her to participate in Obedience Competitions in the AKC All American category with an adult dog that had been rescued by Animal Control for severe abuse.

In addition to her veterinary experience in Nevada and Missouri, Heather also worked as a bather and as a groomer in corporate and private grooming salons. She worked her way up to become the manager of a corporate salon before beginning her own venture into business ownership when she opened On Broadway Pet Styling (now called Wicked Wagz).

Hannah B.

Hannah’s pet grooming career actually started at the age of 7 on a small farm in central Missouri.

She was very involved in 4-H and showed dairy goats and steers at county and state fairs. She also spent time working with her family's Australian Shepherds.

During college, Hannah started her first “full-time” job at a corporate grooming shop. Although she had intended on being a Music teacher (and has a degree in Music Education) she agreed to work for Heather and help open a small grooming shop that promised to be anything but the factory experience. The rest, as they say, is history.

Being a pet stylist claimed her heart! She plans to continue exploring the more creative side of pet grooming and hopes to develop her talents with custom clips and coloring.
